The AIFA In Harrisburg 
 
The American Indoor Football Association has awarded a franchise to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for the 2009 season. The team will play its home games at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center.

 
The AIFA Mission 
 
It is the Mission of the American Indoor Football Association to provide a vision and an environment that is necessary for independently owned companies and the League's teams to become successful in the operation of an Indoor style Football Organization. The League will provide a dynamic style of play so unique and exciting that fans and communities not only enjoy, but desire the sport in any and all geographic area of the United States.   In this endeavor, the American Indoor Football Association shall treat all associated organizations and teams fairly and equally, while fostering an environment of cooperation among all members of the Association.
 
Northern Division
The Harrisburg Franchise will be joining the Northern Division.  The Northern Division is comprised of four teams:  The Baltimore Mariners, Canton Legends, Reading Express, and Erie River Rats.  
 
The Harrisburg Franchise
 
New Orleans Saints receiver and Harrisburg native Marques Colston is the new partial owner, along with John Morris, of the Harrisburg Franchise.  Following the 2009 season, Marques is slated to become the full owner of the Harrisburg Franchise.
 The Harrisburg team will play regular season games from March – June 2009.  Play off’s and the AIFA Championship Game will take place in July 2009.  The team will be comprised of a 30 man roster, with 20 players dressing each week.  Try outs are tentatively scheduled to take place in October 2008, with camp beginning in January 2008.  Each player is paid a salary of $250 per game, with a $50 win bonus per game.
